PRESSURE MEMBER URGING MECHANISM, STILL CAMERA AND FILM CARTRIDGE

A pressure member (49), which can be in either a camera (1) or a cartridge (23), is urged toward photographic film by a simple and compact urging mechanism which includes a flexible strip (55) providing means for urging said pressure member against photographic film and a pin (101) providing means for applying a longitudinal force to the strip (55) to vary the bow in a bowable portion (57') of the strip. The strip (55) is positioned to apply an urging force to the pressure member (49) as a function of the amount of such a bow.
