PURPOSE:To enhance the light resistance of a color image in color photography, etc. by allowing a complex of a specified compound having 1 or 2 OH groups in the benzene ring to coexist with an org. basic substance having the absorption maximum in about 300-800nm. CONSTITUTION:To an org. basic substance such as a dye, a pigment or a coupler for photography having the absorption maximum in the about 300-800nm range are added >=1 kinds of complexes represented by the formula (where M is Cu, Co, Ni, Pd or Pt, one of R<1>-R<4> is OH, the balance are H, halogen, OH, CN, alkyl bonding to C of the benzene ring directly or through a divalent combining group, such aryl, such cycloalkyl or such a heterocyclic ring, R<1> and R<2>, R<2> and R<3>, or R<3> and R<4> may bond to each other to form a 6-membered ring and each of R<5> and R<6> is H, alkyl or aryl). Thus, the light resistance and stability of a color image, etc. are enhanced. |
