<p>PURPOSE:To restrain resonance in association with a friction pad so as to prevent a brake from screeching by making the rigidity of at least the bridge section of a caliper different between its inlet and outlet sides in the rotational direction of a disc. CONSTITUTION:A window in a caliper 11 is formed near to the outlet side 11D2 of a bridge section 11D in the rotating direction A of the disc, and paddings 12 are formed on outer pawl sections 11E on both inlet side 11D1 and outlet side. As a result, the rigidity of the bridge section 11d and the outer pawl sections 11E greatly differ between the right and left sides so as to change the inherent frequency of the caliper 11, and therefore vibration transmitted from the outside may be damped. Accordingly, even though a friction pad 7 vibrated, the resonance of the outer pawl parts 11E in association with the bridge section 11D is prevented, thereby it is possible to prevent the brake from screeching.</p> |
