WAX AND INK FOR HEAT TRANSFER CONTAINING THE SAME

PURPOSE:To obtain wax having excellent dispersibility of colorant and an ink for heat transfer providing high-quality printing, comprising a uniformly dispersed colorant. CONSTITUTION:The wax comprises a reaction product of a secondary alcohol obtained by oxidizing an aliphatic hydrocarbon with a molecular oxygen- containing gas in the presence of boric acid and boric anhydride in a liquid phase and an isocyanate-based organic compound. The ink for heat transfer comprises the wax, a thermoplastic resin and a colorant.
