PURPOSE:To prevent an ink jet port from being clogged, by a method wherein a lamina, having a similar shape to that of an ink jet port, is movably placed at the inside of an ink jet port, and the lamina is inserted into the ink jet port at a time when a head suspends recording. CONSTITUTION:In a ink jet recording head which provides with an ink jet port 1, having a slit-form opening, consisting of an upper plate 2a and a lower plate 2b, and with an ink receptacle 9, the lamina 8, having a similar shape to that of the slit- form opening of the ink jet port 1, is movably mounted at the inside of the ink receptacle 9, and is inserted into the inside of the ink jet port 2 through the movement of the lamina 8 at a time when a head suspends recording. |
