PURPOSE:To provide a rear wheel steering device which can be reduced the dimension of the device and prevent the meshing of a gear. CONSTITUTION:A rear wheel steering device is arranged in the revolution enabled form around a shaft 1 which is arranged in slidable manner in the lateral direction of a vehicle and can steer rear wheels and a shaft extending in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle for the slide direction of the shaft 1. The rear wheel steering device is equipped with a pinion 6 meshed with the shaft 1, the gear 7 of a hypoid gear which is equipped with gear teeth on the pinion 6 side which is arranged coaxially with the pinion 6 and formed integrally and revolves integrally with the pinion 6, the pinion 8 of the hypoid gear which is meshed with the gear 7 of the hypoid gear and a brushless motor 4 which is connected with the pinion 8 of the hypoid gear and revolving the pinion 8 of the hypoid gear.
