PURPOSE:To prevent an automobile from being moved by an illegal means and to prevent movement even if a transmission is in the neutral state by providing a lock means for enabling a push rod to move backward only when a rotor of an ignition key cylinder is put in an accessory position. CONSTITUTION:A lock means 22 is provided for enabling a push rod 9 to move backward only when a rotor 21 of an ignition key cylinder 20 is put in an accessory position ACC. That is, when the rotor 21 of the ignition key cylinder 20 is put in the accessary position ACC, a lock cam 36 is forced to start moving downward by the energizing force of a spring, and when one end 36a of the lock cam is put in a position not corresponding to the position of the rear face 33c of the rear end part 33 of a push lock rod 33, the push lock rod 33 starts moving backward. Thus, the push rod 9 of a retainer 1 in a parking brake can be operated to move backward, that is, the brake lock can be released. |
