<p>A four-jawed self-centering chuck comprises a casing (1, 12) with gripping chucks (3, 14) mounted inside it movably in radial directions and interacting with self-centering mechanism kinematically connected to a power drive for moving the chucks (3, 14) in radial directions. The self-centering mechanism contains four levers (6, 25) the axes (7, 24) of which are mounted on an element of the power drive. The gripping chucks (3, 14) are adapted for housing the shoulder ends of the neighboring levers (6, 25) so as to form a closed power circuit (11, 28).</p> |
