PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of a surge absorption element by mounting a circular arc-shaped metallic plate having risers around a shaft, and separately forming a commutator made of surge absorption element and commutator pieces in combination, thereby facilitating the replacement of the parts. CONSTITUTION:A circular arc-shaped metallic plate 1 is cylindrically mounted through slits 3 around a shaft by connecting risers 2 to the plate 1. Circular arc- shaped metallic plates 6 are prepared in the same number as that of the plates 1 separately, are disposed cylindrically via slits 7, and a surge voltage absorption element 8 is associated between the inner surfaces of the respective plates 6 and the central common electrode 9, thereby forming a commutator. This commutator is engaged with the cylindrical member made of the metallic plate 1. Thus, the commutator can be readily replaced even after the coil is connected to the risers 2, and the cooling of the element 8 can be preferably performed, thereby preventing the thermal deterioration of the element 8. |
