<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a recovering method for submarine repeater, where there is no difficulty even if the dimension of said submarine repeater between gimbals exceeds that permitted according to a bow sheave diameter, by providing a recovery auxiliary part between said bow sheave and a cable engine. CONSTITUTION:When a submarine repeater 4 is pulled up from the sea 6, a bow sheave 2 supports by its circumferential part a submarine cable 5, which is connected with said submarine repeater 4 by a coupling 4a. A recovery auxiliary part 7 has a guide roller 7a supporting said submarine cable 5 and is fixed on the deck 11 of a layer ship 1 so that a winding angle of said bow sheave is less than 54 degrees when the bow sheave 2 supports the submarine repeater 4. A cable engine 3 pulls up the submarine cable 5 from the guide roller 7a as the layer ship 1 advances.</p> |
