PURPOSE:To suppress the ripple current of a rectified power source system by smoothing rectified pulsating voltage via switching means having the predetermined duty factor, thereby improving the input voltage waveform. CONSTITUTION:A duty delta is modulated in accordance with the variation of an input voltage v under the condition of 1/delta.v-1/deltae0=constant, where rectified pulsating voltage is represented by v, output voltage is represented by e0, and the ratio of the period in which an FET is conducted ON during one period and hence the duty of the output pulse for the amplitude of the input voltage is represented by delta. Thus, the input current becomes constant, and can be approximately a sinusoidal wave. Thus, the peak value of the input current can be reduced to decrease the loss at the line of an AC power source, and the ripple current flowing through a capacitor C4 can be extremely reduced. |
