摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To effectively absorb and recover the vapor of fuel generated from the fuel tank, etc., of a vehicle by laminating three monolithic structures whose one or more are made up of activated carbon in such a way as to form a zig-zagged pathway in order to lengthen the detaining time of the fuel vapor. CONSTITUTION:The pathway group of the first monolithic structure 9a is matched with the pathway group of the third monolithic structure 9b, and the alignment direction of the second monolithic structure 10 is inclined. At least one of the monolithic structures 9a, 9b, and 10 is made up of activated carbon. Both ends of the laminate A consisting of the structures 9a, 9b, and 10 are closed by plates 8a and 8b and the laminate A is housed in a container. A hole 80a is bored in the plate 8a side to form a fuel vapor inlet, and also an air opening 11 is provided in the plate 8b side to form an eliminating air inlet. Thus, the vapor of fuel generated from fuel tank, etc., flows through the monolithic structures 9a, 9b, and 10 of the laminate A while changing its direction upwards and downwards, during which the fuel vapor is adsorbed and held in the activated carbon.</p>
