PURPOSE:To prevent a transfer belt from horizontal fluctuation by using a barrel- shaped roller which has a bigger center part as a tension roller which guides a transfer roller. CONSTITUTION:A toner image formed by developing an electrostatic image on an electrostatic recording body 1 with powdery toner is transferred to a transfer belt 2 and then transferred to and fixed on copying paper 8. Although the transfer belt 2 tends to induce horizontal fluctuation while it is rotating, it shifts naturally to the greater-diameter center part of a barrel-shaped roller 6 since it is wound around an auxiliary barrel-shaped roller 6 and a tension roller 7, thereby horizontal fluctuation is prevented.
