PURPOSE:To eliminate an error in setting the quantity of heat for fixation, by controlling the quantity of heat for fixation according to the thickness of a master in a fixing machine for a dry type electronic photoengraver. CONSTITUTION:In a dry type electronic photoengraver, a master after being developed is carried by a carriage belt 1, heated by a heater 2 for toner fixation, and ejected by a roller 3. The carriage belt 1 and roller 3 are driven by a motor M, and the thickness of the master is detected by a detection part 5. The emitter voltage of a phototransistor PT in the detection part 5 varies with the thickness of the master and is applied to a micro CPU7 via an A/D converter 6. According to this input, the CPU7 controls the speed of the motor M. Therefore, the carriage speed of the master varies and the quantity of heat for fixation is controlled, thereby eliminating an error in setting. Instead of controlling the carriage speed, the quantity of heat for fixation of the heater 2 is controllable. |
