PURPOSE:To transmit optical images with fidelity by preventing optical fibers from being disordered in array and deforming, by inserting optical transmission lines into each gap of an intermediate assembly consisting of many optical fibers. CONSTITUTION:Optical fibers 1 which are each composed of a core layer and cladding layer are bundled and elongated in one body to form intermediate assemblies 2-2''. Into each mutual gap of those intermediate assemblies 2-2'', optical transmission lines 21 less in diameter than the intermediate assemblies are inserted closely and then the entirety is united by thermal press-contacting. Thus, the transmission area of an optical fiber bundle, i.e. core parts avoid deformation and a disordered array, transmitting distortion-free optical images with fidelity. |
