The safety arrangement for a moving panel is provided with a pressure sensitive seal. When this seal is compressed by an inadvertently trapped object then the current to the motor which moves the panel is interrupted. The seal has a channel conected to the motor power supply switch. This safety arrangement is used for preventing accidents on using power driven panels in motor vehicle roofs. The safety switch is actuated by the fluid in the seal channel when the seal is distorted. The channel of the sealing profile is conected by one end to the fluid supply. The fluid can be air which is circulated in the system by a pump(8) which has an air inlet(9) and two outlets (10, 11) one of which is connected to a contact pressure gauge. The other one is connected to one end of the channel whos e other end is opened to the atmosphere. |
