PURPOSE:To enable the measurement of a biological sample under varied temperature conditons by means of a temperature controller provided on the measuring side of a bidirectional optical fiber to transmit or receive a measuring light between the measuring system and material to be measured. CONSTITUTION:A bidirectional optical fiber bundle is used to transmit and receive a measuring light between the measuring system containing a light source and a spectral-analyzer and a matter to be measured and a temperature controller is provided on the fiber bundle at the end side of the matter. For example, the use for a subcutaneous tissue sensor enables the measurement under arterial conditions by heating and under the restricted blood current by cooling. In this case, light reaches the spectral-analyzer 11 via a light source 1, a light transmitting connector 2, a light transmitting optical fiber bundle 2, a bidirection optical fiber bundle 4, a light receiving optical fiber bundle 9 and a light receiving connector.
