PURPOSE:To realize continuous data processing even in case a register file has a partial fault by providing a substitute register into the register file. CONSTITUTION:When one of eight registers R0-R7 has a fault within a register file 11, a data error detecting circuit 17 detects the error of the output data 416 outputted from a corresponding register. At the same time, the address information corresponding to the faulty one of eight registers R0-R7 is set at a fault address register 20. Then the information 23 is supplied to one of both input terminals of a comparator 21 for output of a coincidence signal 24. Then a 2nd address register 15-2 is set and the output of the address informa tion 14-1 is inhibited. Instead the address information 14-2 which designates a substitute register R8 is outputted from an address register 13. Thereafter the register R8 substitutes for a faulty register Rx. |
