PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion resistance and spalling resistance of a nozzle by using lime clinker and carbon as main raw materials. CONSTITUTION:Lime clinker and natural or artificial carbon of low porosities are used as main raw materials, and a binder is mixed therewith and the mixture is molded or the molding is calcined after molding. Phenolic resins, tar and the like are used for the binder in the same manner as those used for conventional nozzles. The above-mentioned refractory material and the binder are used and the mixture is keneaded by a conventional method after this, and is molded by a rubber press. The nozzle thus molded is subjected to reduction calcination. Otherwide, lime clinker and carbon are used as main raw materials and a slaking preventing agent and a binder are mixed therewith and the mixture is molded or is calcined after molding. Since this nozzle is of the material of lime-carbon base, it provides suprior effect in corrosion resistance, spalling resistance, nozzle clogging prevention and clarification of molten steel. |
