PURPOSE:To simplify the operation and to enable the setting of random access location required by users, by reading in a random access information made for a caddy and using this as random access. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of a caddy 1, as a random access information, binary codes are recorded. This random access information is read in with an optical or mechanical method and it is changed into an electric signal. A digital operation circuit 6 compares an address location read out from a memory 4 with a digital code from a pickup position detecting circuit, and a pickup is driven so that the address location and the digital code are in coincidence. Further, the random access location can be recorded by the users as a mark 1b' on the caddy 1 by recording a playing time 1a' aside an address code 1a' on the caddy 1 in advance. |
