PURPOSE:To prevent waiting time from being generated and to prevent copying efficiency from lowering by changing the pressing force of a fixing device to an original where a character and a photograph coexist between copying for the first time and copying for the second time. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with an image exposing device 13 forming an electrostatic latent image corresponding to the image of the original on the surface of a movable photosensitive member uniformly electrostatically charged by exposure, a developing device 8 developing the formed electrostatic latent image to a toner image, a transferring device 9 transferring the toner image on a transfer material, and a thermal fixing device 24 fixing the toner image on the transfer material by heating and pressuring the transfer material on which the toner image is transferred. Copying the original is performed twice, and the selected one part of the electrostatic latent image obtained at the first time is erased and the electrostatic latent image left in this stage is transferred and fixed by the device 24, then the electrostatic latent image other than the image erased at the first time is erased at the second time. The electrostatic latent image left in this stage is transferred on the same transfer material as that at the first time and fixed by the device 24, and the pressing force is changed between both stages. |
