PURPOSE:To prevent the recede of a meniscus at the tip of an orifice due to oscillations and generation of bubbles in an ink feeding system, by arranging all of or part of an ink tank, an ink feeding passage and an ink jet head on oscillation catching tables. CONSTITUTION:In an ink-on-demand type ink jet recorder, at least the ink tank 2 or all of the ink jet head including a head 3 and the ink feeding pipe 4 are arranged on the oscillation catching tables 10, 15. Accordingly, when the ink jet recorder is in operation, the oscillations are not transmitted to the ink tank and so on, generation of bubbles in the ink due to the oscillations is prevented, and therefore disturbance of discharge of the ink is prevented. The oscillation catching tables preferably have a porous structure of polyurethane, polyethylene, polystyrene, polypropyrene, and the like. Alternatively, the oscillation catching table may comprise two plates with oscillation damping spring means therebetween. |
