PURPOSE:To enable the operating display for tape time at all times, by detecting the reel rotating speed at constant speed running of a cassette tape and detecting the reel rotating speed immediately before the fast forwarding and rewinding operations. CONSTITUTION:Pulse signals responding to the rotating period of reels SR, DR are picked up with a rotating discs (a), (b) fitted to supplying and winding side reels SR, DR and sensors Sa, Sb, and either one of the signals is fed to a CPU via a switch SW1. The residual amount mode or running mode is discriminated with the output signal of switches SW2 and SW3. The operation at constant speed running is made with programs and constant data stored in an ROM, and the tape residual amount time or tape running time is calculated. When a fast forwarding or rewinding button is depressed, the tape time is calculated from the newest rotating period signal stored in the RAM and displayed 12 at via a display driver 11. Thus, the tape time can always be operated and displayed. |
