DRIVING CIRCUIT FOR LUMINOUS ELEMENT

PURPOSE:To align light images on a light sensitive surface without depending on the manufacturing accuracy or the like of a mechanical section by a method wherein the radiating timing of each luminous element (LED) array is set independently in a light print head. CONSTITUTION:When a picture signal Q which is a serial data for one line is inputted into a picture signal distributing circuit 6, it is inputted into S3 in accordance with the distributed rows of LED arrays 71-7n. S3 is delayed by K times of m bit in delay circuits 81-8n and is inputted into digital switches 91-9n. K is the integer part of the value of a displacement DELTAy from a dot line/ a line interval y, and is determined for every array. A value smaller than the decimal point of DELTAy/y is written into a memory 13 and is outputted as a radiation beginning time regulating amount W of each array. When this regulating amount W is coincided with a count value S5 or a standard time in a comparator 14, the data is set in a memory 16 through a multiplexer 15 and the luminous element LED is radiated or extinguished in accordance with the content thereof.
