The road sign support is for a vertically pivoted panel (2). The axis of this is carried by the support fixed to a wall (1). A spring returns the sign to its normal position once a deflection force is removed. The tubular support (4) houses a shaft which projects at one or both ends. The shaft is subjected to spring action by the helicoidal spring. This is housed in an annular space between shaft and support and presses on a shaft boss. The sign is carried on arms top and bottom (3).
