PURPOSE:To improve oxidation resistance and nitriding resistance at high temperature, by coating the exposed surface of a getter material with a coating of boric acid compound or boric acid compound containing a small quantity of silicon dioxide. CONSTITUTION:A nonvolatile getter material 11 is filled into a getter container 12 made of U-shaped metal ring. The getter container 12 and the surface of the getter material 11 are wholly coated with a coating 13 of boric acid compound or boric acid compound containing a small quantity of silicon dioxide.
