PURPOSE:To integrate the main body of the building material and the flexible belt with each other rigidity by a method wherein the flexible belt made of a flexible synethetic resin is inserted into the groove of the main body of the building material made of the rigid foamed synthetic resin, then both side walls of the main body are expanded toward the interior of the groove to rigidity hold the belt. CONSTITUTION:A metallic extrusion die 7 having slits 8, 9 such that a part of a slit part 9a is located between slit parts 8a, 8b is mounted in a main extruder 5, and a nozzle of a subextruder 6 is connected to the die 7. A rigid foamable synthetic resin is supplied to a hopper 11 of the extruder 5, while a flexible synthetic resin material having no affinity of the foamable resin is supplied to a hopper 12 of the subextruder 6, and the resins are simultaneously extruded to form the main body 2 of the building material having a long groove 3 and the flexible belt 4 as separate bodies. Then the extrudates are introduced into a foaming device 14 in a cooling water tank 13, and while restricting the shape and the outside dimensions of the main body 2, both side wall parts of the main body 2 are foamed and expanded toward the interior of the groove 3, whereby a part of the flexible belt 4 in the groove 3 is rigidly clamped by the expanded wall parts of the main body 2 and is integrated to the latter. Thereafter, the building material thus obtained is cut to a predetermined length by a cutter 15. |
