发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF ANODE FOR SILVIC OXIDE BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To increase the discharge performance and the preservation performance of a battery by making silvic oxide used as an active material to be added with a given transition metal powder which has many projections on its surface and is used as a conductive agent. CONSTITUTION:High pressure carbon monoxide is made to act on grains or nets made of a transition metal at a high temperature of 200-250 deg.C, thereby a vaporlike carbonyl compound containing a transition metal is produced. The carbonyl compound produced is cooled into a liquid. The carbon monoxide contained in the liquid is scattered by spraying the liquid, and a transition metal powder which has a surface area of over 0.5m<2>/g and has many projections on its surface is prepared. Thus prepared transition metal powder used as a conductive agent is added to an active material made of silvic oxide, thereby a positive electrode 1 made of silver (I) oxide is obtained. The surface area of the former transition metal grain or transition metal net is preferred to be 0.05- 0.2m<2>/g. The bulk density of the former transition metal powder should be 0.45-1.00g/cm<2>. As the transition metal, cobalt, iron or nickel is used. The content of the transition metal powder is about 5wt% of the anode 1. As a result, a small amount of the conductive material is used in preparing the anode 1, and the conductive material has not any possibility of reducing silver (I) oxide like carbon powder does. Consequently, the internal resistance of a silver (I) oxide battery is reduced, and the discharge performance and the preservation characteristics of the battery is increased.
