The heat exchanges (1) has an inlet header box (2) made from cast iron, supplying two outlet pipes (3) which also form the firebars. Each outlet pipe has a discharge point (8) with regulating dampers. Air is supplied to the heat exchanger from a fan (5) through the inlet (4). The interior of the header box (2) contains guide vanes which produce a turbulent air flow. A proportion of the air is diverted to the draught chamber (30) below the outlet pipes (3). This air serves to control the rate of combustion and is regulated by an internal damper controlled by a lever (37). An outlet (5) is provided to allow a hot air supply to be taken to a neighbouring room.
|
