Internal back-facing machine for laterally accessible bores - uses fixture holding tool for each bore couplable to spindle inserted in successive bores

The arrangement is intended for backfacing, partic. inside a number of laterally accessible (15) bores (14) using an axiallv movable and rotatably driven spindle (1) which is passed into each bore and then coupled to a backfacing tool (2). A comb-like fixture (8) has a number of teeth (8'), inserted in the lateral bore (14) opening (15) and each carry a rotatable and axially movable tool (2). The spindle is inserted into the bore and coupled to the tool (2). Backfacing is then carried out after partial withdrawal of the spindle and on completion. the process is reversed and the spindle transferred to the next bore.
