<p>The base plate (2) has a central opening (3) the edge of which (3a) is turned up and rounded, while the post shaft has a flared bottom (1a) applied to the turned up edge of the base plate. The weld (4) is applied at the base of the shaft wall and does not take vertical load forces. A single base plate can take posts of variable diameter so that it is suitable for both telegraph and street lighting masts.</p> |
