PURPOSE:To make fuel consumption rate helpful as a concrete index for economical driving by detecting the fuel flow rate and mileage of a vehicle, calculating the fuel consumption rate according to traveling condition from these detected data and displaying the same. CONSTITUTION:The fuel sucked from a tank 1 by a pump 2 is sent to an injection pump 4 by way of a filter 3, and a flowmeter 5. At this time, the flowmeter 5 oscillates pulses at every prescribed flow rate and supplies the same to a computer 10. On the other hand, the output of a speedometer 6 is applied to a distance pulse oscillator 9, and the distance pulses are supplied from the oscillator 9 to the computer 10. The computer 10 calculates the pulses of flow rate l and distance KM and determines KM/l. A fuel rate display part 13 digitally displays the results of the computation of this KM/l. |
