Dowel to fasten workpieces - uses deformable washer element with carefully chosen mechanical properties

The dowel is for insertion into a bore in a base. It has an anchoring section, and a projecting threaded bolt, with a nut, resp. a screw head at one end. The head supports itself on the base, of a workpiece, via an element, which is deformed in the longitudinal direction by axial forces. The deformation resistance of the element (38) is so dimensioned, that the deformation path (a) is exhausted, when the set force of the dowel (14), necessary for the threaded bolt (30), i.e. a fraction of that force, has been reached. The element consists of a washer (38) with deformed sections.
