Long-term metal bath oxygen potential and temp. measurement cell - has protective case and thermo-element with contact piece for dissolving insulation

The arrangement is for the continuous measurement over long periods of the oxygen potential and temp. in a bath is esp. suitable for a steel or metal bath with a strong, turbulent flow. It has the mechanical and temp. stability required for long term measurement without losing measurement sensitivity compared to short term measurement arrangements. The measurement cell (3) is covered by a protective case (1) and is proof against mechanical press. and chemical attack up to a piece (2) performing contact measurement of bath parameters. The contact measurement part (2) has an insulation (4) of low thermal conductivity which is attached to the protective case (1) or the measurement cell (3) using a material which automatically dissolves at the bath temp. For temp. measurement the cell consists of a thermoelement.
