<p>A tread wheel, similar to a stationary bicycle, is used. A break system is pre-set to measure the physical effort expended independently of the number of revolutions per minute and with automatic compensation for mechanical losses. This is achieved by employing a pre-set electronic circuit which monitors the revolutions and turning moment. A bridge (1) produces a signal proportional to the turning moment which is fed to a differential amplifier (4). The output of which is compensated by a correction voltage (UO,6,7) and applied to a multiplier (8) together with a signal (n) corresp. to the revolutions per minute. A summing amplifier (9) sums the multiplier output with a further variable correction signal (11, 12,13,14) and drives a control unit (10).</p> |
