Embankment or hillside road or trackside retaining wall - has pressure resistant filling behind main supports spaced out from slope

Main supports, made of concrete, are set up close together. Prefabricated components are hung in position to bridge the gap between them. The retaining wall is for hillside slopes or embankments, esp. at the verge of traffic routes. The supports (2) are erected away from the slope and the space (5) between their rear sides (7) and the slope (4) is lined. The whole space may be filled by a support disc slab (8) using e.g. a backfilling of concrete. The supports may be erected first and then backfilled, or the whole operation can be carried out in a single process.
