PURPOSE:To prepare a ''konyak'' (a paste made from the starch of the devil's- tongue) blended with a yam or a ''konyak'' blended with a carrot, by blending ''konyak'' powder (''konyak'' ball) with yam powder (yam) or carrot powder (carrot). CONSTITUTION:A mixture of 1pt.wt. ''konyak'' powder and 1pt.wt. yam is blended with water or hot water in an amount 40 times as much as that of the mixture, and the prepared blend is allowed to stand for about 20-40min. An aqueous solution obtained by adding 0.3pt.wt. lime to water in an amount ten times as much as that of the lime is added to the blend which is mixed, and heated at about 80 deg.C for 30min, to give a ''konyak'' blended with Yam. When a carrot is used instead of the yam, a ''konyak'' blended with carrot can be obtained. The above-mentioned processed food can be preserved for about two months. |
