VHF transmission sound cine recording system - has VHF sound transmitter on camera linked to receiver on tape recorder

The method is used for coupling a cine camera to a tape recorder for sound cine recording. No connecting cables are used between the two equipments. The method avoids editing problems associated with sound stripe on film and permits higher quality sound equipment to be used. The camera is equipped with a microphone and VHF transmitter for pulse stream transmission to a VHF receiver on the tape recorder. The tape recorder VHF circuitry incorporates transistor switching circuitry to control the tape recorder drive according to film movement through the camera. The camera has a shutter contact connection into the VHF microphone transmitter equipment and uses reed relay circuitry to provide editing pulses in sync. with film runs which are recorded on the tape.
