PURPOSE: To provide a developing device which is capable of highly triboelectrifying a one-component developer in the state of maintaining the low contact pressure of a developer regulating member with the surface of a developer carrying member without impairing the elasticity of this developer regulating member, is capable of relieving the charges of the developer in spite of generation of the excessive electrostatic charge on the developer, has development thereby well executed, makes it possible to obtain images of uniform and high densities without ghosts and stably prevents the fixation of the developer on the developer regulating member. CONSTITUTION: The surface of a developing sleeve 21 is provided with a conductive resin layer 21b contg. conductive particulates and having volumetric resistance of 10<-3> to 10<2>Ωcm and the contact part of an elastic blade 36 with the developing sleeve 21 is provided with an opposite polarity member 36b. This member 36b consists of a polyamide resin sheet into which the conductive particulates are incorporated and while has the volumetric resistance of 10<7> to 10<8>Ωcm. The member has the triboelectrifiability of the positive polarity opposite to the polarity of the negative polarity toners 24. |
