PURPOSE:To increase the number of tools while simplifying piping and wiring by enabling a driving section of an auxiliary magnazine to separate from the fixed side thereof when the auxiliary magazine moves, which is attached to a machining center equipped with a tool housing magazine as a standard accessory in such a manner as to advance to or retract from a tool exchange arm. CONSTITUTION:This magazine has a tool exchange arm 4 with a grip foe changing tools of a spindle, a main magazine adapted to receive and house a tool at the first tool change position P1 as conveyed with the arm 4, an auxiliary magazine having the second tool changer provided some-where on the path of conveying a tool grip to the position P1 of the main magazine from the standby position of the arm 4, a drive source of the auxiliary magazine which advances the second tool change position P2 of the auxiliary to or retracts it from the standby section of the arm 4 and a controller for controlling the driving of the arm between the first and second tool change positions P1 and P2. |
