<p>Double two-high reversing roughing mill for rolling down preliminary sections or semi-finished products, the roll pairs (3, 4 and 5, 6 respectively) of which, situated in series in the rolling direction, have aligned, different grooves and are driven in pairs in opposite rolling directions. None of the grooves is an unusable blind groove but the live groove, which rotates counter to the rolling direction, which changes during reversing operation, is in each case opened to form a blind groove by a motorised parting device (20 and 21 respectively). Coupled with the opening of one groove is the closing of the aligned groove of the other roll pair by pass-wise opposite actuation of the approach devices. <IMAGE></p> |
