<p>A distributor has centrifugal weights (13) which rotate on bolts (12) to act on a lever (14) to provide ignition advance. The action is opposed by a coil (15) that is attached at its ends by eyelets (16) to pegs (17) on support plate (11) and lever (14) respectively. To damp out vibrations, pegs (17) are coVered by elastomeric sleeves (18) and rubber washers (19) are fitted at the ends of the spring. Through the elasticity and mass of the rubber washers (19), spring breakage is avoided.</p> |
