<p>PURPOSE:To maintain a good gas-liquid contact effect at a small packing height and to increase the removing rate of harmful substances and to reduce gas pressure loss by arranging plural number of light spherical bodies that float slightly by ascending pressure of gas on perforated plates. CONSTITUTION:Light spherical bodies 10 such as clean balls, ping-pong balls are arranged in one layer or several layers on a perforated plate 9 installed horizontally in the middle of an absorption tower A. Waste gas introduced by a fan 2 from an inlet pipe 1 is brought into gas-liquid contact in opposite direction with absorbing liquid sprinkled from sprinkling holes 6 and harmful components in the waste gas are removed by absportion. The purified gas is discharged from the tower top 7. The absorbing liquid is returned to a tank 5 and circulated by a pump 4.</p> |
