<p>PURPOSE:In bonding a sapphire glass as a covering glass for a watch to its body using an ultraviolet light polymerizable adhesive, to bond the adhesive to the body with improved workability without chaning the quality of sapphire glass, by covering part of the sapphire glass other than bonding part with an ultraviolet light masking shield. CONSTITUTION:The bonding layer 3a consisting of ultraviolet light polymerizable adhesive is put between the sapphire glass 1 as a covering glass and the body 2 and both are brought into contact each other by pressure. Part of the sapphire glass other than the bonding layer part 3a is covered with the ultraviolet light masking shield 5 and the bonding layer 3a is exposed to ultraviolet light irradiation so that it is cured quickly. The covering glass 1 is fixed to the body 2 in a short time without causing the change in quality and coloring of the sapphire glass resulting from the ultraviolet light irradiation, thus to improve operation efficiency.</p> |
