<p>Insulating material for the building industry comprises a thermoplastic compsn. comprising 50-80 (wt.)% fly ash, 0.05-5% organic porophors, e.g. diazocarbamide (or 10-30% saw dust or wood shavings acting as porophor and having 50% relative humidity) and 8-40% polypropylene. The compsn. use industrial scrap which is otherwise discarded or cause pollution. The material has closed cells, good dielectric properties, mechanical strength, resistance to wear, is hydrophobic and has good casting characteristics. It can be used for parcelling, flooring or roofing.</p> |
