The invention relates to a jaw body for a ski binding having a spring-loaded lift swing catch device and a rotary swing catch device. The jaw bearer is to be designed in such a way that it does not disengage in the case of purely horizontal loading, but releases reliably in the case of loading acting obliquely or vertically, without being complicated in construction. This object is achieved in that a rib running in the vertical direction is arranged in a groove of the catch bearer running parallel to the upper side of the ski and in the transverse direction relative to the ski, with which rib a groove in the catch member cooperates. Furthermore, roof-shaped prism surfaces adjoining the groove are provided on the catch member, which interact with correspondingly inclined counter-surfaces on the catch bearer. Finally, the catch member has above its vertical groove an inclined surface which cooperates with a correspondingly inclined surface on the catch bearer, adjoining which latter surface there are upwardly inclined roof-shaped surfaces. <IMAGE> |
