The device for connecting cold and hot water supply pipes to a wall battery has a base plate (1) and two T joints (25) releaseably connected to it and serving to carry the water. One end of these T joints serves to receive the supply pipes and their other end serves to receive the wall battery. A pipe spacer device is also provided. This has two hollow spigots (47) which can be screwed into the two T joints (25) on the side on which the battery is connected and a bracket (48), which can be pushed into or onto the spigots (47), for maintaining the centre distance of the two T joints (25) required by the wall battery. In this arrangement, the base plate (1) is designed as a self-contained beam with reinforcements (10, 11) and is provided with insertion openings (14, 16, 20) for the reception of the T joints (25) and of fastening and retention screws (39). The base plate (1) is composed of sound insulating material, in particular fibre-reinforced plastic, e.g. glass fibre reinforced nylon. <IMAGE>
