PURPOSE:To enable to weld automatically without controlling the position of a torch automatically, by installing a guide rail which is used for assembly welding of a side plate of a large tank at a job site, and is able to move so as to exactly correspond to a line to be welded. CONSTITUTION:A movable hanging truck 5 which is equipped with an automatic welder, a rail unit 1 provided with a guide rail 2, a driving wheel 7, a travelling wheel 8, etc. is moved to the center of a line to be welded 3, and is fixed by a pressure roll 10. Subsequently, the guide rail 2 is adjusted so as to be in parallel to the line to be welded 3, by a installing position adjusting device 4. After that, voltage and current of the welder, and the position of a torch 13 are decided, welding is started and moved, and welding is stopped at the end point of the guide rail 2. |
