PURPOSE:To obtain titled resin excellent in flexibility and tear strength, by copolymerizing an alkyl (meth)acrylate capable of providing a low second-order transition point and acrylonitrile with a copolymer of a specified polyfunctional monomer and vinyl chloride. CONSTITUTION:Onto 100pts. wt. copolymer (A) of vinyl chloride and a polyfunctional monomer having in the molecule at least two ethylenic double bonds, e.g., ethylene glycol diacrylate, are grafted 35-900pts. wt. alkyl acrylate and/or alkyl methacrylate capable of providing a polymer having a second-order transition point of -10 deg.C or lower, e..g., n-butyl acrylate, and 2-50pts. wt. acrylonitrile. A vinyl chloride resin having excellent flexibility and tear strength is obtained by carrying out the grafting by using component A as a vinyl chloride resin which is the trunk polymer. |
