<p>A process for breaking emulsions and suspensions which is especially useful for the purification of industrial sewage. The emulsion or suspension is treated with a liquid reagent obtained from aqueous dispersions and solutions comprising: (a) an adsorbent substance and (b) aluminum or an aluminum derivative, such as AlCl3, Al2O3, Al(OH)3 The liquid reagent is obtained from water, products (a) and (b) and a substance chosen from acids and bases, in such a way that microcrystals of the aluminum or aluminum derivative are associated with the active sites of product (a).</p> |
